Camp One Step is not just the name of the nonprofit – it’s a physical place where children living with cancer can go to have a “normal” camp experience and “just be kids.”
Since the late 1970s, the organization has hosted more than 19,000 pediatric cancer patients aged five to 19 at a sleep-away camp. Children in varying stages of their diagnosis and treatment are welcomed with a full staff of medical professionals on-site.
Camp is not just a place, it is a Community.
Camp One Step brings happiness, support, strength and hope to hundreds of children and families each year, and thanks to our community of campers, families, over 400 volunteers, and generous supporters, the magic of camp can be felt anytime, anywhere.
